Data Center Cooling Market News

  • CoolTera Ltd. is a developer of coolant distribution infrastructure for data center liquid cooling technologies. CoolTera Ltd. was acquired by Vertiv, a global provider of essential digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, in December 2023.
  • Schneider Electric announced in October 2023 that it is investing USD 1.2 million to work with the Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed (STDCT), a National University of Singapore (NUS) facility supported by a consortium of business partners and funded by the National Research Foundation, Singapore. The testbed aims to develop innovative and cost-effective cooling systems for data centers in tropical regions. This is because maintaining regulated settings in data centers in tropical nations, like Singapore, typically leads to excessive power and energy usage and the subsequent high costs and carbon emissions.
  • Fujitsu and Microsoft formed a global alliance in May 2023 with the goal of enabling "sustainability transformation" and assisting companies in shifting their workloads to the cloud. Microsoft will supply Azure, its cloud computing platform, while Fujitsu will contribute its knowledge of data center architecture. Businesses will have access to a complete modernization solution for their IT infrastructure thanks to this agreement.
