MEA Ferric Chloride Market News

  • In February 2024, A novel synthetic approach employs iron chloride, a readily available salt, to catalyze the formation of carbenes from commercially available aldehydes. These carbenes readily engage with various alkenes, yielding a range of cyclopropanes boasting notable structural diversity. Marc Montesinos Magraner, a synthetic chemistry specialist at the University of Valencia, Spain, not associated with the research, commented that such cyclopropanes are challenging to synthesize using current methods but are frequently encountered in pharmaceutical compounds.
  • In September 2023, researchers employed ferric chloride (FeCl3) and genipin as cross-linking agents to fabricate two types of nanocomposite hydrogels via physical and covalent cross-linking methods, respectively. These hydrogels consisted of unmodified Gum Arabic (GA), Chitosan (Ch), and natural nano-Hydroxyapatite (nHA) using an acrylic acid solvent. Both types of hydrogels, cross-linked with FeCl3 and genipin, were synthesized and subjected to various in vitro and in vivo analyses. The results indicated that the FeCl3 and genipin cross-linked GA/Ch/nHA nanocomposite hydrogels exhibited compressive strengths ranging from 15.43 to 22.20 MPa, comparable to those of natural cortical bone. Moreover, digital planar tomography and histological staining with Hematoxylin and Eosin stain (H & E) confirmed the formation of new, full-thickness bone at the implantation sites across all experimental groups.
  • In April 2023, Al Kout Industrial Projects Company, with over four decades of experience in the chemical industries sector, is recognized as a leading firm in the GCC and other nations for its production of chlorine and its derivatives. The company proudly announces its financial achievements for the year 2022, recording a historic production of approximately 51,115 tons of chlorine gas, compared to 48,596 tons in 2021. Additionally, the company has generated significant profits amounting to KD 9,967,511, marking the highest dividend payout in its history.
