Consultant position: Associate Strategy Officer, Agricultural Development.

Consultant requirements: Knowledge

• Prior knowledge of agriculture/climate would be ideal but not required 

• Prior experience in strategy development, especially in data analysis, finance and private sector engagement 

• A degree in applied or pure Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science preferred 

• Knowledge of Climate and/or global development experience would be a very strong plus Skills 

• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for understanding complex challenges and systems 

• Strong relationship management and collaboration skills 

• Ability to absorb and quickly distil large amounts of information 

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, especially with technical experts 

• Strong quantitative knowledge, including experience creating complex models, with a demonstrated ability to extract appropriate data to convey complex information using supporting tables, graphs and other visual representations 

• Excellent organizational skills, demonstrated ability to lead to teams through a complex and ambiguous tasks 

• Demonstrated outstanding written and oral communication skills 

• Ability to be independent and work effectively and with sensitivity across barriers such as language, culture, and distance 

• Demonstrated comfort challenging assumptions and thinking creatively 

• Ability to influence without formal authority 

• Commitment to the foundation’s core values, mission, and programs 

• Experience working in a matrix environment preferred 

• A good sense of humor and positive outlook
